Methodological support and setting up a lessons-learned platform
This operation aims at benefiting from the expertise of professor-researchers to characterise agroecological practices, identify levels of intervention facilitate territories’ transition to agroecological systems (plot, operations, agricultural basin) as well as strategies to promote farmers’ ownership and integration of such agroecological systems.
The operation is also designed to create a platform to capitalise on the know-how and outcomes produced by PROTEGE as well as by previous projects such as INTEGRE and the various studies done in the OCTs and the region. This tool should also make it possible to connect stakeholders and expertise in the region by theme using digital materials and media.
2 actions
• Sign contracts with specialists from among Master’s in Agroecology degree supervisors and from the RITA (Innovation and Agricultural Extension Unit) network to provide methodological support throughout PROTEGE
• Host student interns supervised by such specialists, professor-researchers so as to support certain programme actions
• Produce the technical specifications for creating a digital lessons-learned platform that would also serve as a link between Pacific and OCT agroecology and forestry stakeholders
• Create the platform and carry out a campaign to gather knowledge, studies, etc.
• Launch the platform’s promotion campaign and one to recruit administrators from PROTEGE’s partners
