Organising regional gatherings

This operation is designed to promote exchanges between Agriculture and Forestry theme stakeholders on the outcomes and implementation methodology for the theme in each OCT. Special attention will be paid to prioritising direct exchanges between farmers on their feedback and practices.

Hold regional technical gatherings in all 3 OCTs (NC-FP-WF)

The goal of this action is to hold three regional workshops (one per OCT). These theme-based workshops are supposed to make it possible to highlight practices, host country initiatives and the outcomes of various activities carried out with PROTEGE support via, in particular, visits to pilot farms. In addition to the demonstration activities and agroecological and organic farming practices, talks will be organised with local and outside speakers. These special moments of exchange will enrich the discussions and implementation of actions to support the agroecological transition and climate change adaptation in the region’s OCTs and countries.

Host a Tree Conference: Forests, Agroecology, Coconut Groves (NC-FP-WF)

The goal of this action is to hold a regional “Trees” conference for stakeholders from the tree farming, agroforestry, and coconut sectors in the region’s OCTs and countries. This conference will have a dual objective:
• Expanding knowledge about stakeholders, expertise, the actions underway, and projects in the OCTs and ACP countries in those sectors
• Consolidate and strengthen regional cooperation, synergies between OCP and ACP stakeholders in implementing RA 2 programming for the theme “Agriculture and Forestry”
