This operation aims at building territories’ biosecurity capacity and systems.
2 actions
This action point is aimed at strengthening available systems for French Polynesian biosecurity officers by purchasing and installing two x-ray machines. One will be set up at international arrivals and the other at domestic departures. It also includes training for officers in using the new equipment and identifying prohibited items.

Government quarantine officers will have the opportunity to receive training from the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries to build their invasive species identification capacity. The systems available to them will be strengthened by a review of animal and plant quarantine regulations.
