The educational toolkit on water captivates students in Wallis and Futuna.

With the support of the PROTEGE project, the Territorial Environmental Service (STE) has developed an innovative educational toolkit aimed at raising awareness among students from low and high islands about the crucial functioning of water.

This educational initiative has been highly successful in various awareness workshops, whether with the general public during the monthly market of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) on November 11, or during dedicated days for primary schools on the field.

The most recent event, an outing to the Vaitauolo source on November 27, welcomed the CM1 class from Ninive school. This excursion allowed 14 students to explore the water cycle, Wallis's water resources, and the specific characteristics of the Vaitauolo source through playful games and posters included in the educational toolkit.

The adaptability of the toolkit in the field and its ease of transport have reinforced the effectiveness of this educational initiative, providing an immersive and engaging approach for young learners. This innovative educational tool thus contributes to educating the next generation about the crucial importance of water management in the islands.
