"A dream come true", Telesia Sekeme, headmistress of the Kolopelu school.

The 29 atmospheric water fountains have been installed.

« In Futuna, water is not drinkable. If there are still difficulties for the whole population to benefit from drinking water, at least our children will be able to drink it at school and work in better conditions. For me, it’s a dream come true. » Telesia Sekeme, headmistress of the Kolopelu school.

The 700 children of Futuna now have drinking water in their schools thanks to the installation of atmospheric water fountains. This device is a most ecological solution because it collects the water present in the atmosphere and filters it to provide purified water.

29 atmospheric fountains now equip the island's schools thanks to the PROTEGE project and its European funding under the 11th regional EDF.

An inauguration ceremony was held in the kingdom of Alo at Kolopelu Primary School on Monday, August 24, and a second one was held the next day at Fiua Middle School in the kingdom of Sigave.
