New Caledonian farmers and technicians: join the training course on connected water management

Training objective: demonstration of the installation and use of connected water management equipment to optimize water use in agriculture.

As part of the PROTEGE program, the Agriculture and Fisheries chamber of New Caledonia (CAP-NC) is organizing 3-day trainings for farmers and technicians regarding the installation and use of SOLEM connected equipment that have been provided to the farms by Nouméa arrosage.

On the agenda:

  • "Water in agroecology" presentation by PROTEGE project,
  • Demonstration on the use of tensiometric probes to optimize irrigation,
  • Presentation of the SOLEM equipment,
  • Awareness raising on water saving management,
  • Visit of an equipped farm.

These technical sessions on Connected water management will take place :

Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the North Province Hotel on Koné,

Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Auberge de Pierrat in La Foa,

Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Case in Lifou.
