The Resilience episode on "Invasive species: a scourge for biodiversity" will be broadcast this Monday 24 October 2022 on WF1ère (after the news).

For this episode of Resilience, we went to film in French Polynesia, Wallis and Futuna and New Caledonia to meet the men and women of the PROTEGE project who are fighting against these invasive alien species.

The Pacific islands are home to an extraordinary biodiversity, but invasive species such as the black rat, the wild pig, the deer or various invasive plants introduced by man are a real scourge.

The European Pacific Overseas Countries and Territories, the Pacific Community #CPS, the Pacific Regional Environment Programme #PROE and the European Union present "Resilience", the magazine of the PROTEGE project.

A programme produced by Bluegreen production nc.

SPREP is the implementing agency for the Invasive Species theme of the PROTEGE project.

This video has been produced with the financial support of the European Union. The contents are the sole responsibility of the Pacific Community and do not necessarily reflect the views of the European Union.
