Sustainability Challenges of Food Systems in the Pacific
In partnership with the University of French Polynesia (UPF) as part of its "Knowledge for All" lecture series, UPF hosted a conference alongside the workshop on the sustainability of food systems in the Pacific organized through PROTEGE.
On Wednesday, October 4th, the Knowledge for All lecture series welcomed around fifty attendees with notable speakers:
- Florence Tartanac, Team Leader on Links to Markets and Value Chains within the Food and Nutrition Division at the FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy.
- Severine Bouard, Researcher at the New Caledonian Agronomic Institute - IAC.
- Nicolas Gouletquer, Development Manager for the Sustainability Program in the Agriculture and Food Division at CSIRO.
- Philippe COURAUD, Director of the Agriculture Department of French Polynesia.
The four speakers delivered a conference on the Sustainability Challenges of Food Systems in the Pacific from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
The PROTEGE team of the Pacific Community extends gratitude to both the speakers and participants for this impactful awareness and communication event.
