RESOLAG, aquaculture waste and bio-sourced materials to replace plastic
Marine Resources Department (DRM) News Story - Mission to Takaroa and Takapoto.
The DRM team went on a rewarding mission which focused on three subjects regarding PROTEGE:
- RESOLAG is a marine environment management network. Maintenance of probes, installation of sensors and data acquisition were carried out,
- pearl farming waste : cleaning actions were launched and a dedicated association has been created on each island,
- bio-sourced materials to replace plastic : Tests of new types of collectors, some of which are made of bio-based materials, are underway.
A film crew also followed the DRM in order to produce information and awareness-raising films on the above-mentioned themes.
