Competition "Keep the sustainable fishing 2022" in Wallis and Futuna

A big congratulations to the 3 laureates "Ambassadors of sustainable fishing 2022" and to the 3 other candidates who have committed themselves in the contest carried by the fisheries service of Wallis and Futuna, in favor of sustainable fishing, the sea and the preservation of our marine resources.

A new edition of the Sustainable Fishing Days has been initiated this Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Wallis and Futuna.
In this context, a contest has been launched, dedicated to young people and associations of the territory with the theme :

Sustainable fishing inspires you? Do you want to act?

Become ambassadors of sustainable fishing 2022!

3 winners have been selected among the 6 candidates whose projects can be found on the Facebook page "The sea, our source of life": https://www.facebook.com/pecheurswf/

The fisheries department also wishes to thank the members of the jury of the contest who have mobilized around the beautiful projects proposed by associations, high school students, college students and schoolchildren.
The winners will receive grants to help them implement their projects in 2023. They will be assisted by the fisheries department team from the beginning of next year.
- 1st prize: a grant of 400,000 F CFP
- 2nd prize: a grant of 300,000 F CFP
- 3rd prize: a grant of 200 000 F CFP
