Three day meeting for farmers from the PROTEGE network of agroecological demonstration farms

The delegation included 8 farmers, 3 agents from the French Polynesian Department of Agriculture and 2 agents from the Pacific Community (SPC), including the head of PROTEGE project.

This 3-day workshop enabled to review the actions undertaken in the farmers network and allowed to work on the perspectives for each farm.

The delegation was welcomed on Tehei Asine’s farm, a network member. He was able to show the actions on water management and on syntropic agroforestry on the atoll.

One of the important purposes of the demonstration farm network is to share experiences and results. This workshop prepared the phase of opening the demonstration farms to the outside public.
