The Department of Agriculture of French Polynesia has realized a technical sheet on the augmentorium as part of the PROTEGE project.

To limit the proliferation of fruit flies, it is necessary to collect and destroy the pricked fruits which contain the larvae and thus the future flies.
The augmentorium is a structure designed for the storage and destruction of fruit bitten by fruit flies. It allows to kill the fruit flies that come out of the fruit and to preserve, even multiply, the micro-flies.
