Sustainable fishing Fridays in Wallis and Futuna
For the first year, the PROTEGE program, the fisheries service and the fishermen of Wallis and Futuna organize the ‘Sustainable fishing Fridays’
The objectives of Fishing Fridays are to :
- Bring together the "actors of the sea",
- Share knowledge on marine ecosystems and raising awareness on sustainable management of marine resources: What is the state of our marine resources? How can they be better managed?
- Promote a sustainable fishing industry and make the profession of fisherman known to the population: How can we combine tradition and modernity, food and professional fishing?
Workshops will be organised by invitation and many activities will be open to the public from 14:00 onwards.
