Regional cooperation on the fisheries theme is thriving between Wallis & Futuna and New-Caledonia.
Lotolelei MANUFEKAI, fisheries technician within the Fisheries and Agriculture Services in Wallis and Futuna (DSA), has traveled to New-Caledonia in order to gain knowledge from fisheries stakeholders in New-Caledonia.
In Ouvea, the numerous exchanges were very interesting with the Loyalty Islands Province on action carried out in the province in support of professional fisheries and sustainable use of resources.
The unions of Ouvea and Wallis & Futuna were able to discuss structural organization of their activity and their different actions to protect and promote the fishermen profession, in particular the continuity and management of the packing unit of seafood products (UCPM).
