Takaroa Takapoto mission – FP

In French Polynesia, the Direction of marine resources visited the Takaroa and Takapoto islands to carry out several missions.

This duty travel allowed:

- to ensure the maintenance of the probes for the RESOLAG (the pearl lagoon observation network),

- to install and maintain the measuring instruments (RBR, current meter, valvometer),

- to carry out a follow-up of the collection,

- to conduct interviews for a position in the Takapoto DRM office.

It was also an opportunity to discuss with the Takapoto pearl farming management committee as well as with pearl farmers and the Takaroa area about ongoing actions (RESOLAG, actions related to pearl waste and biomaterials testing).

Finally, the multiple exchanges allowed to give information to the different actors on the PROTEGE project and to collect communication needs.
