A new partnership with the Sublimage association to raise awareness of the beauty and fragility of marine ecosystems
From September 30 to 6 October 2024, the Sublimage association invites New Caledonians to its 14th International Underwater Photo and Film Festival in New Caledonia. It will be held at Noumea City Hall. The Pacific Community is once again a partner of this event via video projections on sustainable fisheries that the PROTEGE project helped create.
This week will be dedicated to the beauty of the seabed through the unique vision of passionate photographers and videographers. The event will consist of exhibits, short film screenings and thematic series. It will provide an opportunity to discover fascinating work, engage in discussions with artists and celebrate the richness and diversity of our underwater environment.
The Pacific Community (SPC) is renewing its partnership this year by providing short videos on sustainable fishing to the association for showings in the conference area.
The aim is to raise New Caledonians' awareness of climate change and to highlight the actions the territories are carrying out with regard to the marine environment.
