Pacific Regional Research Symposium – May 2025
Calls for contributions
In May 2025, the first Regional Research Symposium in the Pacific will be held in Tonga as part of the upcoming Pacific Community/ FAO Agriculture Week.
The organising committee invites researchers, practitioners and policy makers to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. This symposium will serve as a platform to showcase recent research, innovations and strategies related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries in the Pacific region.
Symposium theme: “Transforming Agriculture and Forestry in the Pacific through Science, Technology and Partnerships”
Submissions are welcome for all papers presenting research in agriculture and forestry. Papers should highlight successful regional partnerships or demonstrate meaningful engagement with farming, forestry or fishing communities.
The research presented must have been carried out in a Pacific country or address a topic identified by a Pacific country, with collaboration from that country.
The work carried out as part of PROTEGE is fully aligned with the objectives of this symposium and offers a great opportunity to highlight the expertise of New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Wallis & Futuna.
For that reason, we invite our partners to consider responding to this proposal.
