Firsthand account video series: agroecology in New Caledonia
Some New Caledonian farmers were invited to share their agroecological practices with the farming community through video testimonies. A number of episodes were filmed by the New Caledonian Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries (CAP-NC), as part of PROTEGE. These videos are now accessible online.

Episodes 1 and 2: cover cropping in New Caledonian market gardening
The first episode focuses on the objectives for each species. The second addresses crop protocols. Mathieu Naturel, a market gardener in Boulouparis and Stephen Moglia, a market gardener in Moindou, share their experience.

A precious form of traditional knowledge is explained by Randy Utchaou, a farmer on the PROTEGE demonstration farm on Ouvea. This ingenious method assists with vital water and sap circulation between the mother plant and its suckers helping to develop and strengthen banana plants.
